Day 4 is an easy beach side ride from the inland historic Goldfields of Kumara to the industrious Coal town Greymouth.

Starting in Kumara the trail passes through newly developed farmland, then retrace the Historic Kumara Tram through regenerating bush with special vista for the Taramakau River. Cross the last road/rail bridge in NZ over the Taramakau River.
Meander North through tidal Lagoons and sand dunes. Follow the impressive coastline of the wild Tasman Sea. Ride through a working port along the Grey River finishing opposite the historic Greymouth Railway Station.
